About the Event

SBPC was awarded funding from the North Dakota Department of Agriculture to assist in livestock development planning.  Funding will support site analysis and strategic planning activities, and will accommodate and encourage investment in livestock production.

We have partnered with First District Association of Local Governments (FDALG) to conduct a regional site analysis to assist in identifying locations that meet minimum State siting and local zoning regulations, as well as being in proximity of necessary infrastructure to support animal agricultural production. The planning area includes Bottineau, Burke, McHenry, Mountrail, Renville, and Ward Counties and Townships.

This kickoff meeting is an opportunity for stakeholders to learn about the project and engage in the planning process. FDALG will provide an overview of the project to include methodology, expected outcomes, and information necessary to complete the study. They also hope to get an understanding of attitudes, efforts, and experiences with animal agricultural production.

Light refreshments will be provided.

Funding was provided by the North Dakota Department of Agriculture's (NDDA) Regional Livestock Development and Planning Grant Program.
