Fiscal/Administrative Project Management
The Planning Council staff is an important part of both community planning and the economic development process. The Council can provide either financial or staff support that can aid in the start-up and/or development of emerging development opportunities for this region by acting as the interim or permanent fiscal agent.
In most cases, local governments do not have the experience, staff or training needed to assure the proper administration of public funds. The Council's staff are specialists in the administration of public grants, both state and federal.
Education
The Council staff are available to participate in educational seminars throughout the State. In the past, staff have been a part of community strategic planning classes, zoning training, public finance workshops and administrative training. The Council does conduct its own public finance workshop on a biennial basis.
